  1. This archive contains the update from AmiWin 2.0demo to
  2. AmiWin 2.11demo.
  3.

  5. No configuration files are overwritten during the installation,
  6. except for the script "startx". If you have modified this
  7. script, please save your modified version, and re-install
  8. the original version before installing the update.
  9.  
  10. If you have received any intermediate, pre-release versions
  11. of AmiWin files, please install the original files from
  12. the 2.0d distribution before installing the update.

  15. Summary of most important changes (please see the "History"
  16. chapter in the documentation for more details):

  18.  - Updated from X Consortium Patch level 11 to patch level 12.
  19.  
  20.  - Fixed several bugs in the aga-8 driver, including crashes
  21.    and bugs in the text rendering routines.
  22.  
  23.  - This version of aga-8 does not contain "hardcursor" support,
  24.    but has "-softcursor" hard-coded into it. This is because
  25.    "hardcursor" does not work reliably at the moment.
  26.    "hardcursor" support will be re-enabled in a future version.
  27.  
  28.  - aga-8 now supports the A2024 screenmodes 1024x1024 and 1024x800
  29.    (4 grayscales) even in the demo version.

  31.  - fixed a possible Enforcer hit in rtg-1.
  32.  
  33.  - fixed a harmless PoolWatch hit caused by all clients.

  35.  - It is now no longer necessary to delete the file
  36.    ENV:AMIWIN/XTRANSPORTS if you have configured AmiWin for
  37.    AmiTCP/IP, but want to run it without AmiTCP/IP running.

  39.  - fixed a minor bug in xcalc.

  41.  - Added a new chapter to the documentation that explains how to
  42.    install additional fonts.
